Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater

A perfect extension to a Kenyan safari, this 3 night safari is a great introduction to northern Tanzania taking in some of the country’s most famous parks and landscapes. You will be picked up in Arusha and after lunch you will travel on to Lake Manyara National Park which is famous for its tree-climbing lions.

Tonight’s base is at Kirurumu Tented Lodge which is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley enjoying marvellous panoramic views eastward over Lake Manyara, Mount Losimingori and the floor of the rift. Behind Kirurumu the Ngorongoro Highlands rise in green and fertile splendour and form the gateway to Ngorongoro Crater.

The next day you will continue on to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge where you will spend your final 2 nights. Spread out along the uppermost eastern rim of the Ngorongoro World Heritage Site, the lodge offers breathtaking views of the crater floor far below. A day's safari through this unique conservation area provides you with one of the most spectacular and memorable wildlife viewing experiences in the world.
