This safari starts with your arrival in Kenya's capital city Nairobi, and takes you by road to six of Kenya's greatest wilderness area, and will leave you in no doubt as to why Kenya is the ultimate safari destination.

After spending a night in Nairobi you will travel to Amboseli National Park where you will spend two nights. Amboseli is famous for its breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro and the big game found in the Park, particularly large herds of elephant.

Dusty elephants in Tsavo

Next you will travel to Tsavo West National Park, spending two nights in the park, during the day going on game drives as well as visiting Mzima Springs in the north, where water that has filtered underground from the Chyulu Hills gushes from below a lava ridge into a series of clear pools inhabited by hippo, and Lake Jipe on the southern border of the park which is home to plenty of hippo, elephant and bird life.

The next stage of the safari will take you to the Mount Kenya and Aberdare region, the final destination for the day being the Aberdare National Park, where you will stay for one night.

Giraffe

The following day you will travel to Samburu National Reserve where you will spend two nights. Samburu is famous for the less common Grevy's zebra and gerenuk, and you should also spot plenty of elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards zebras and crocodiles, along with an abundance of bird life.

From Samburu you will travel to Lake Nakuru, world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth - myriads of pink flamingos. You will spend one night in Lake Nakuru National Park, where in addition to bird life, you would expect to see a variety of wildlife including black rhino, giraffe, waterbuck, lion, and sometimes if lucky, leopard.

Leopard in Masai Mara

The next day you will travel to Lake Naivasha, the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya, passing the extinct Mt Longonot on the way. You will spend one night in Naivasha. After an early morning start seeing the many species of birds and game on the shores of the lake, you will travel to the Masai Mara, where you will be spending two nights. The Mara is where you can expect to see "The Big Five" which consists of the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and black rhinoceros. Many other species of wildlife and a large variety of bird life will also be sighted. Whilst in the Mara a hot air balloon safari over the game filled plains should not be missed.

The final stage of your safari will be to return to Nairobi where you will spend the night, leaving the following day for your flight home
