Voyager Ziwani Camp

With a spectacular view of mystical Mount Kilimanjaro, and easy access to the wild attractions of Tsavo West National Park, Voyager Ziwani offers a tranquil retreat in one of the wildest places left on earth.

Located on a private 30,000-acre farm on the western edge of Tsavo, the camp sits on a secluded dam on the Sante River - home to turtles, crocodiles and hundreds of basking hippos.

The 25 tents guarantee a high level of privacy and personal attention, and have made the camp one of Kenya's most popular honeymoon destinations. Voyager Ziwani offers a host of exciting safari activities, from game drives in Tsavo West, night drives among the resident game, walks with highly qualified naturalists, and trips among the battlefields and colonial relics along the Tanzanian border.

The 25 double tents have large double or twin beds with classic furnishings and modern en suite bathrooms with hot showers. Five are special deluxe tents with king size beds. All tents have private wooden verandahs overlooking the river.

The camp has a restaurant serving homemade table d'hote cuisine, a special vegetarian kitchen and dedicated chef, with candlelit dinners served on the riverside lawns. There is an intimate lounge bar overlooking the riverbanks, a souvenir boutique and safari bookshop, and a full daily laundry and valet service. The camp also has an Adventurers Club for children and its' own all-weather airstrip.

Activities include escorted game walks with experienced naturalists, night drives to view hippos and nocturnal game, boating among crocs and turtles on Ziwani Dam, walking trails around historical Grogan's Farm, trips to the twin volcanic lakes of Chala and Jipe, and tours of World War II battlefields. There are also lots of 'bush-wise' activities at the Adventurers and Young Rangers Clubs.
